Household Water-Saving

TWD has been laying a foundation for green water supply city by deeply rooting the education of water resources. For three consecutive years since 2007, water-saving kits have been freely distributed to 1.3 million households, resulting in 2.05% of water consumption by the end of 2008. Since 2004, water-saving learning materials have been distributed free of charge to Taipei's fourth-grade students annually, totaling 18,000 copies. Additionally, the Water Resources Education Center has been attracting nearly 600,000 visitors per year, giving people education beyond providing entertainment functions.

To meet the goal of carbon reduction through energy saving, services are provided through multiple channels via the Internet to facilitate users doing business online. The Customer Service Center also provides 24-hour consulting services year round which can further reduce people from going out. The over-the-counter payment cases have gradually decreased to 3%. For customers signing up for e-billing, a postage rebate saves them money besides saving energy and reducing carbon consumption.
